Missionization Software Developer (f/m/d)
Job Description
The Systems department is composed of a group of about 10 people organized around 2 teams, the Launcher System team, and the Mission Analysis team, each focusing on a specific area of expertise. The Launcher System team is in charge of ensuring a global consistency in the development of the launcher, working in close collaboration with all the departments within Latitude.
The Mission Analysis team studies the performance of the launcher and defines trajectories that allow it to fulfil its missions, performing trajectory optimization, safety and re-entry analyses based on a configuration defined by the Launcher System team.
Responsibilities
Tasks and missions
As intern in the Systems department, your main mission will be to develop a missionization software to support the mission analysis activities. The main goal in developing this software is to facilitate the missionization process allowing the user to configure a launcher and mission with large sets of parameters while ensuring a robust and trustworthy communication between the different tools involved in the process. The objective is also to develop a software with a great versatility to carry on preliminary design studies as well as final mission analysis in the context of a launch campaign.
This position involves multiple aspects of software development, your role will entail:
• Participating in the software specification.
• Participating in its development.
• Integrating various tools to construct the missionization chain.
• Creating a user-friendly interface.
• Thoroughly documenting your work, especially when coding, and presenting results in technical and justification notes.
Preferred experience and skills
We are looking for astudent currently enrolled in a Master Program in Computer Sciences orAerospace Engineering with a knack for software development and coding.
Key technical proficiencies:
- C++ / JAVA / Python languages
- GIT / GITLAB
- Visual Studio / Spyder
- XML / HTML
You’re familiar with fundamental concepts suchas Newton’s laws of motion, attitude, guidance and propulsion. Beyond technical expertise, yourenthusiasm for anything related to the space industry sets you apart. Whileprior experience in the space sector is a plus, it's not a prerequisite. Language proficiency:
- Your level of English allows you to understand and write technical documentation, and work and exchange with native English-speaking interlocutors.
- Speaking French is an additional nice-to-have.
